Quick Connect hydraulic fitting for lift pump

Hi all. I am looking to get some quick connect fitting for my HF scissor lift. I don't know exactly what I need.

After some research I think I am making it harder than it needs to be. Is it like air fitting and all I need something that threads into the pump and then the actual head that connects on the the fitting on the hydraulic line?

There is a youtube video of a guy to did it, but he does not recall or list the part number he used. He states though that they were Parker Quick Connects.

Yup. Parker makes good ones. I have bought and installed several. They make for a lot cleaner putaways.

If your shop is as dirty as mine, you will also want to get the appropriate cap and plug to keep the ends clean when not in use.

Hey! did you do this project to your HF lift? I am having trouble getting what I need. Grainger refused to help me unless I knew the ISO, PSI, and what series I am using?

I looked all over the lift and manual for the information but could not find it. Any help would be appreciated.

We don't have tractor supply around here. We have a Northern Tool, do they have this kind of stuff?

So on the hose it should be a pipe thread, you need to find out that and get the couplers that go onto the pipe thread. They are used in bobcats and skid steer too.

If you google flat face quick disconnect you will find some. But the size like 1/2" might be too big for your unit. I think the lifts use a 3/8 pipe thread.

For guys that need to know in the future, you remove the coupler that starts out of the pump and go 3/8" the rest of the way.

I have a question for you guys. If I need to remove the hose, how do I do it without making a mess? I'm thinking that I need to lower the lift to the floor and allow the cables to go slack. With that, I should have all of the pressure released and I should get minimal leaking. Is that correct?

I just installed my lift last week and when installing the hose, I wanted it to loop down out of the way when the lift was up. What I didn't realize is that there is a slight twist to the hose, so when I drop it down to the floor, the hose starts to bind. I want to release that binding. Thanks for helping a new guy.

Yes release the pressure. You will have a minimal amount leaking out. Have rag ready.

I have parker quick connects, there is a small amount that leaks even when disconnected.

I was told that there are no drip flat face disconnects available.

I'm not sure what brand I have.
There may be a single drop but that is it.
