Kinda dumb question but I am running my new thermolec 9kw boiler on a 50 amp breaker with a rated draw of 37.5 amp

I have it set to 4 out of 10 approx 110degrees of
A max of 180 I believe

What can the expected draw be? Not sure it works that way

Thanks

Well 4 out of 10 is 40%.

FLA is 37.5, I would assume at 10 out of 10 running full bore.

So 40% of max is 15A.

Just a guess.

Check this link
http://www.thermolec.com/en/productView.aspx?type=product&id=58
Check page 13 of the installation manual
If I got it correct, there is a5750 w and 3000 w element
At start up,the full 8750 w ( 9 kw) is drawn until temp is reached
Then to maintain the temp, the 5750 w or the 3000 w element is turned off and on to keep the temp at set point
Therefore the current draw is 5750/240 = 24 or 3000/240 =12.5 a
Check with the manufacturer to be sure

I expect that the full amperage will be used as/if needed to hit the setpoint temperature. You're not chopping output by selecting a lower temperature.
