Quick Drive or other?

I am thinking of buying a Quickdrive unit. But from my previous experience with quickdrive I realized that the square screws are ever so slightly smaller so that only their bit fits in. So I am looking for different opinions on other systems like the PAM from Milwaukee or other system used by Hilti.
Are the competitors using regular robertson screws on a strip?

What's wrong guys nobody has an opinion or experience with Quick Drive. Hummmm I am surprised.

sorry never heard of it. only experience with square drive is woodworking screws.

I take that back, just looked it up. I do have the Senco system but honestly have never used it so I can't give any advice...

Thank you for your input. The Quick Drive is a system which allows you to screw floors in the standing position. The system also uses phillips or robertson head type screw on a strip configuration so you do not have to put a screw at the end after putting in the previous screw. This product can be used for drywalling or steel deck installation. I am sorry for the long winded description.
But my question was I know quick drive screws are proprietary, are the other systems like PAM or the System Hilti uses also proprietary?

I looked at the Senco and a little dissapointed with the lack of choice and versatility.

I got the senco at a yard sale 2 yrs. ago, came with case, extra box of screws, all the stuff was there and it looked like the guy bought it to put up a couple sheets of drywall in his garage and never used it again. Paid $15...It isn't the long extention version but does use stripped screws, I'll take a look and see what kind they are. IIRC, there were 2 or 3 different bits it came with depending on the screw type.

"Strip screws" = collated screws.

Hilti seems to use their own proprietary design of collated phillips head screws. So even though the screw head may be P2, you'd still need to use their magazine attachment to use them. Very nice system, IMO.

Thank you for correcting me . I was looking for the proper term but could not remember. By the way I thank you for confirming that the Hilti also has a proprietary screw design. I had seen a Hilti screwgun on Kijiji in Montreal, our equivalent of craiglist, but I was not sure if the screws were proprietary. The seller answered my email in such a way the did not inspire confidence. So I was not going to spend $300.00 on a screwgun and not be able to find collated screws for it. At that price I add a little and buy a brand new Quick Drive model.

Now I am waiting to find out if anybody has any experience with the PAM system.
