I have a two drawer cart that I work out of every day (kobalt), I'm looking for ideas to make a holster type rack underneath the bottom drawer for my screw gun, impact driver, drill, 3/8 and 1/2 air impacts. I usually keep impacts and stuff in the main box (krl1003) but I'm getting tired of going back and forth. something like the snap-on "powercab" end cab have on the top row. Rivet on a flat sheet of AL across the front and get some of snap-on holsters (number 6)? Would i need the bar (number 12)?? to Or would there be a cheaper/better way?
sorry for huge pic...

It appears the tool's handle/battery rests on #12. If #12 was not there, what would keep said tool from flopping out of the holster?

Am I seeing the diagram correctly? You don't have to have the same exact piece they use, I would think any thing crossing that span to hold the tool would work. A 3/8" piece of painted round stock would work, no?

I matched exhaust clamps to my impacts and welded them to the side of my cart. For the cordless tools, I mounted the clamps backwards so they could hang upside down. Otherwise, the trigger would be pressed when they were mounted face down. Only have one messy picture of them. Also note, they make a nifty hammer holder too.

How about some PVC? Maybe a 3-4" diameter PVC pipe 5-6" long. Could even cut a slot in it with a jig saw or dremel for the handle to fit.
