How do you pronounce it?

Nippex, Nippix, or like I do...Nigh-pex?

I pronounce it with a long I and two syllables, but my buddy pronounces it with a short I and one syllable.

Just wondering. :headscrat Have been since I heard him say "Nippix"

kuh-knip-ex apparently. Although if you hear a German say it, they say 'kuh-kneep-ex'

Yep.

Locally here most say nip-ex or neep-ex and do not use the hard 'k' at the beginning but rather use it silently.

Doesn't make it correct, but does make it easier to understand what they want or need when asking for a tool.

For what it's worth, Google translate does a pretty good job of giving you ballpark pronunciations. That's how I learned to say Kneitinger!

Maybe if we knew what the word Knipex means in german we would know how to say it. What does Knipex mean in german? I always thought it was Nipex with a silient k like in "KNOW". Word and letters are pronunce differently in German. Like Jesues is prnounced differently in spanish. Gesundheit I belive means God Bless you in german. Voltswagen is peoples car. The only German word I'm 100% sure of is BECKS....German for beer.:lol_hitti

I always thought it was Nee-PIX. Sadly, I took German in college. Thanks for the correction.
