quick lift ramps?

I am not familiar with these, but I found this on the local CL.

From the little I know about them, they just use a floor jack to jack up the back. The ad says something about hydraulics. The way my garage is setup, a lift is not an option. These might be handy though. Can anyone tell me what is missing? I'm thinking I could make a piece to tie the two together to jack them both up. Thoughts?

If you look at the kwik-lift site you will see what is missing.

Think you might get tired of tripping over them all the time. I like jack stands for myself as you can remove wheels where this system looks limited that way.

I have a kwik lift and find it to be really good in place of the other kind of lifts. This doesn't appear to be the same mfg. Mine has a cross bridge for use with a bottle jack to remove wheels. Also has a loop through one end that you use a floor jack to lift the car and ramp at the same time. kwiklift.com should get you to info.

That's what I was guessing that they are not the same, or this is an older version. I'm not really worried about tripping on them because there will almost always be a race car parked on top of them.

I kinda like them and I'm sure you can modify them to work like a Kwik lift but I think $200 is a bit high, for what's there. I'd offer $100,,,,,maybe less as I think about it.

That craigslist setup looks like old pit style alignment racks.

You know that's funny that you say that because the first thing I thought of when I saw them was an old alignment rack. I'm not above some minor fab to make them work. Jack stands are kind of a pain in the **** because the far side of the garage is a little hard to maneuver a jack around.

Without it being bolted down I could just see a ramp falling with the car on it if it isn't positioned just right, just like the last pic in the ad.
