I got this Speedaire compressor 120v FREE and it works. It is needing a new pressure switch because it got knocked over and smashed. I got a new switch and the only question I have is....

Does the green wire (I assume is ground) from the motor (yellow cord) suppose to get grounded? It is just hanging loose as of now but I don't know if it is because it got like that from the fall.

It does currently run like it is I just wanted to make sure before I replace the switch if it goes back to ground or if it is for 240v conversion.

Any help would be appreciated.

looks like a second ground. You can confirm by pulling the cover on the motor off.

That is what I would suggest......pull the cover from the motor. The green wire already has the Stacon wire connector on it, so I ASSUME that it went under the ground screw.

Thanks for the help. I pulled the cover and it was another ground. I got the compressor fired up today. It was a lot quieter than the 33 gallon Husky oil-less compressor I have and seem to fill quicker. Perhaps it was due to the 2 cylinder pump.

Just have a slight leak at the petcock.
