So I recently returned from visiting my family in MS, and while there my dad found a neat old 1/2" *Cornwell* socket wrench while on one of his walks. He didn't have any use for it and gave it to me. It was all but stuck...it would wiggle a bit, but required a lot of work, and was very tight.
So last night, after letting her have a good soak with PB Blaster, I got her apart and knocked off some of the rust before cleaning it up in the sink and then leaving it in a bath of Evaporust last night.
And here it is just out of the bath:
And after a run on the wire wheel:
I then cold-blued it, assembled it with fresh grease, and wiped her down with some BLO.
Ready for many more years of service!
