Take a bunch of photos of the lift and call Mohawk. I'm sure if they saw the pics, they would know.

Out of curiosity, does the line enter the offside cylinder at the top or bottom of the cylinder? Pages 21 and 22 show that the hydraulic line is connected to the top of the offside cylinder on a System II and on the bottom of the offside cylinder on a System I.

I just saw in your other Mohawk thread that you are just our of NYC. Call Ross at Specialty Automotive Equipment. https://www.njlifts.com/

Ross is your local Mohawk Rep. He will know exactly what you have. I bought my used lift from him and had it installed by him. (I'm near Cape May) He even threw in the weight scale since the lift was installed on my birthday. Ross and his crew are excellent!!

Heck, you may want to ask him how much for him to inspect and install the lift.

Hey Chris,
Thanks for all the help and info about Ross.
I just ran out to check, the line enters the bottom of the slave side hydraulic ram.

i did find some pics of a older 7,000# System 2 ...

The one I bought definitely looks beefier.

Looking at the pics you originally posted, based on the carriage construction alone, it's not a System II. The system II lifts had a lighter construction, did not use the same (or even as many) bearings, even the column shape is different.

The first system I and system II lifts shared the same type of single overhead hydraulic line, but not a lot else. The system II lift columns are rectangular in cross section, not the 3-box form of your system I. The system II lifts have less steel plate and more sheet metal.

I'm surprised the data plate is missing.

+1 on it being a System 1. The photo of the system II compared to yours, along with the placement of the line into the offside cylinder tells me that you have a 9,000lb System 1.

That is a great lift and I'm sure you will love it!
