Quick question about GJ search

I've seen it suggested several times that a Google search with Garage Journal in the terms is more effective than searching within the forum itself. There was a specific format that was supposed to be effective, I think maybe it had a colon. Anyone know what works best?

So for example "ratchet site: garagejournal.com"?

I usually type the following in Google:

the garage journal: topic

Then I can always select, 'more results from www.garagejournal.com' on the top links for tons more.
