Quick question about Northern Tool Compressor Motor..

Just over two years ago, I purchsed a Leeson Air Compressor Electric Motor — 5 HP, Model# 116511 from Northern Tool...The motor is having problems turning my compressor pump....If it is just out of warrantee will they do anything for me as far as replacing the motor or giving some credit towards a new one?

I called them the other day..The problem is I stored my receipt inder my compressor pump, which leaked oil and ruined my receipt.....They told me to go to the store that I bought it from and talk to them... I guess I'll have to do that...

Have you checked the in-tank check valve, if it is bad it can make your motor hard to run.

Nope....Good advice, I will check the check valve... (Maybe this is why the last motor was ruined....)

If your unloader isn't bad it may just be your start capacitor/centrifugal switch.

Yupp, I'll have to do this next...I changed the check valve..Still having problems getting the motor going....
