Supposed to be breaking ground tomorrow on the garage addition. I have a question, just so I am sure that the foundation guy is doing what he is supposed to... Does the block get filled with concrete?

That's a loaded question. There is a few variables that need to be cleared up. How high is the wall, how long, is it retaining dirt, etc.

Standard block foundation. 4 courses of block. 3 is getting me level with grade, then I am going one more above grade. Attached garage that does come out 6 more feet in the front. So 16' (back wall), 26' (side), 4' ( front 2' each side of overhead door), 3' ( attached side about a foot and a half on each side of the man door where its coming out 6' on the attached side). 10 ' ceilings, 4/12 A roof, 12X8 garage door, 6" of wired concrete floor. It is being back filled with dirt.

Standard block is designed and performs better by NOT being filled completely with concrete, however there are special block that are intended to be filled. IMO, the block only need to be filled at the anchor bolts, and especially at each OH door jamb. Anything more is simply a waste IMO. And filling the block with concrete w/o adding a vertical rebar in each core is also a waste.
