Hi all.

A little while ago I got a really good deal on a nib Snap-On ph3050a. It wasn't the kit - just the hammer and crappy style retainer - but I didn't think that would be a problem since I already had an IR quick release for my other hammer. Of course, the threads are different. :lol_hitti

Obviously I can pick up the SO one for $62, but since there are a number of other retainer chucks on the market with much more reasonable pricing, I'm hoping one of them will work. Does anyone use anything other than SO?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. :)

BTW, this hammer's great, but it still really doesn't hold a candle to a CP 717. And now that I have the fancy schmancy Snap-On I'll never hear the end of it if I ask to borrow the CP! :(

Make sure the regulator on the bottom is open. Mine was turned down when I got it, and was weak. I told my dealer, and he told me to turn the red knob down by the air fitting. Problem solved.:)
