I have a vaulted garage 24' wide. The height is 8' on the sides going to 14' at the peak. My plan is to put 4 continuous rows of fixtures up: 30" in from each wall and then about 6-7' away from each other. With a 30' deep building, that's 7 four-foot fixtures per row x 4 rows = 28 fixtures controlled by 3 switches. Does this sound like a good plan?

Looking at 4' direct wire LED ready fixtures, no ballast. From a price/performance standpoint, is this is a good spot to be? At quick glance they're about $17/fixture plus 2 bulbs x $6 is $29/light. I was hoping to be in the $20-25 range so I'll have to search for deals. Does this sound right or am I missing something?

Thanks.

I just put lights in my 30' x 35' unfinished metal garage. Platonic solids' recommendations was to do 3 rows of lights with a total of 24 I believe. I ended up doing pretty much half of that with 13 lights and I'm thoroughly happy. My ceiling is about 14'-15' and I hung them from jack chain to 12'.
