Wouldn't buy it for $5.99

While Fast LT1 wouldn't buy it, that has no bearing on the quality of the tool.

I was remodeling a bathroom and did a complete tear-out. Thought something like this might be useful to remove old tile. Oh my gosh was this thing useful - from precision holes in drywall and subfloor to cutting off fasteners to trimming molding in place - I found a small sledge to be more useful in removing the old tile, though.

I've now done 2.5 baths, a laundry room, and a bunch of misc. stuff with it and it keeps on going.

This is one of those tools where the blades really make a difference - I use Dremel and Bosch. Probably 4x more on blades than the tool.

My one desire would be a cordless version - but I won't buy that until the one I have dies. Also, it is fairly loud especially in a small room like a bathroom. Use hearing protection.

In principle it's a damn useful tool. In practice, I'm not quite as sure. The first one I had died after little use (I think the gears stripped) and I exchanged under warranty for another. The second so far has been ok. May be one of those hit-or-miss things. If you buy one, give it some good hard use while it's still in warranty -- if you're going to kill it, do it while you can exchange it! ;-)
