I live near the ocean and am constantly fighting rust on raw metal.
Obviously you can oil, Boeshield, wax, etc., and put other sticky or liquid solutions ON raw metal.
But what is the fastest and easiest treatment that I can do TO metal, in my home shop, so that even when it's dry, I have some rust resistance? (I'm not asking for rust proofing, just something that helps combat rust.)
Is the answer black oxide? Is there a fast gun blue that would work?
Remember, quick and easy...or I'm going back to oil and wax...
