Quickie-vanguard tools

I’m going to put in some type of surface mounted plumbing in my shop. I’ve not researched much yet.

I came across these tools at restore for $200. Deal or No deal? About 7 sizes.

I think they will work with the pro-press stuff.

Those should be for crimping pex pipe. Not pro press copper fittings.

Thanks. I was able to do some quick research. I think the proper name of the tool is a Vanguard Piping System Inc. Full Circle Crimp Tool.

Looks like vanguard was bought by Viega who makes Pro Press. Though not sure if that means anything as far as the usefulness of the tools.

I passed on the purchase. But it would be good to know if this type of old fashioned manual crimper was good for the pro press job. And if this was a good deal.

And I see there are pex crimp fittings as well. Had not considered those.
