I have seen the weld folded over due to using jackstand in improper location. To the point of denting the side of the car.. Sometimes you can get away with it if you are very sure the construction along the side is same through out.

The manufacturer put the notches in specific location shown in the owner's manual I would think their engineer's feel that's the best spots to balance the car on a 2 post lift.

Were the pinch welds bent from using a lift or a floor jack? I know they can possibly fold over with a floor jack because a floor jack does not lift straight up but rather in an arc. If the floor jack doesn't move on its wheels the way it's supposed to, you can bend the pinch weld. The Quickjack lifts the car evenly on both sides so I don't see the weld folding over as easily.

Well, another good weekend with the QuickJack at the track. In our 12 hr endurance race this weekend we had a terrible noise out of the driveline. Got it into the pits and onto the QuickJack to give it a look. Found 2 of the 4 bolts holding the differential were gone, and another 2 were loose. We were probably laps from losing the entire rear of the car!

The QuickJack made this a quick fix and back into the race, we fought back through the issue and a couple others and managed a 2nd place finish in class.

Has anyone with a quickjack thought of adding a second safety leg on each jack? The safety legs can go on either the inside or outside of each jack; they designed it that way!! Mine came with them on the outside, but it would be easy to add a second leg for the inside....all that would be needed to do is to replace the threaded rod with another one that's 2" longer and buy 2 additional safety legs from Bendpak. I would think it would add to the stability of the jack!? At least it would give me more peace of mind knowing that my car is resting on dual safety legs!!
