I have read many posts about epoxy floor prep. I have decided to use the Quickrete 2 part solvent based system. I called today for a Edco floor grinder (with diamond stones). The rental outfit (a big firm that I have used much in the past) also sells the Quickrete Epoxy kits (cheaper than Lowe's!). They were very familiar with the process. My floor is in a newly built garage addition of about 1770sqft. The concrete has cured for over two months. The rental outfit felt that one of their 17" machines with 16 grit sandpaper would do the job on prep for this new floor (this in lieu of the Edco machine). What are yall's thoughts on that? I have watched the CD (DVD?) in the Quickrete kit. They clean and etch with their product (Bond-Lok) that comes in the kit. Is that sufficient or do I need to do the Muratic Acid etch? This floor is new, unused and unstained.
