I have a Quietside DP boiler that I will be using for my in-floor heat. The install instructions said to mount on a non-combustable wall. My wall is OSB. Should I replace that piece with something else, or stick a sheet of metal between it and the OSB (if that would help), or do nothing? Is there really heat back there? Does anyone else have a boiler like this on an OSB wall with no problems?
The reason I ask is, one place it in the install book doesn't mention this, but in another it does, so I wonder how necessary it is. And I see lots of wall-hung boilers mounted on OSB.
Thanks!!
