Dear All,
First, love the site, helped me very much when choosing my coating as well as prep and application tips.
I finished coating my garage with Quikrete Epoxy Garage Floor Coating. I over prepped (as if there is such a thing) as, from what I read in here preparation is 90% of the job.
I applied the coating last Wednesday, April 20, 2011. I opened the garage door about once every 30 min. to change out the air for about six hours (till temperature got down to 60 degrees), then closed it up. I left for camping on Thursday and got home on Sunday. The floor is even with no color differences or stains, looks great and appeared completely cured. However, when i went to install the diamond plate molding I purchased, I noticed that areas that I sat on and slid across the floor appeared scuffed.
I went to a corner and found I was able to scratch the coating with a fingernail. I checked again this (Monday) afternoon and found that it still scratches. It does not chip or flake, just appears to be a soft surface.
Can anyone advise what this is caused by or if they have had that problem? Quikrete advises 2X stronger then concrete, however mine is not the case.
I also checked along the walls in various places, where i know the coating was first applied and also applied at the end of the can, thinking there may be a difference in the application time with no difference found. I used two sets of coating, with no difference between them found (both seem soft).
I did buy three sets (all tinted blue), and only used two, meaning I have one extra. I think the one will be able to cover the entire garage as i only used 1.75 to cover a garage a little over two. Will applying a second coat help? Also, can a second coat be applied over sprinkles?
I would really appreciate any advise you can give as I will not drive on it till I can figure it out.

3) Another scuff in the coating where I was starting diamond plate molding. The lighter scuff crossing the mark is from the pads of my fingers, when I first saw it I thought it was on top of the coating.
