I used QUIKRETE to do a small patch job on the garage floor

a spot roughly as long and deep as my index finger.

I was doing a slow buildup, but after the final top coat - everything that's not supposed to happen- happened.

Started with a rain shower, and the temps dropped.

(The patch job was just inside, pretty much right where the garage door comes down) so while it didn't have direct rain on it, it was damp.

Now here in Mid Michigan, the temps have dropped to below freezing.

Although I did it several days ago, I can tell it didn't thoroughly harden.

I'm guessing I'll probably have to scoop out the last layer at some point next spring and finish it off

Probably no chance this stuff will harden on its own, is it ???

never used it before

Up to the final coat, things were going fine

LOL

Cementitious materials set more slowly as the temp decreases but will usually set up eventually if they don't actually freeze before they reach about 500 psi.
