New to the forum, Hello everyone. I recently picked up a quincy 310 compressor for a replacement pump to my old worn out craftsman. From all my research I have gathered, I can run a 3hp motor and turn the pump between 800-900 rpms. I believe the red cap on left side of oil filter is a place for oil pressure gauge. How much presure should it build? The 90 degree fitting straight above the oil filter I can not find a definite answer on what that plumbs to. Can someone point me in the right direction to get this compressor plumbed up correctly. Also my old compressor has a air release built into pressure switch. Do I need that on this compressor? Thanks for any help you could give me.

That manual should be helpful. Your oil pressure is adjusted by the bolt assembly on the left, by the red cap. 20psi would be good to start but check the manual.
