Hi guys, I recently scored a working 325 for $300. I want to clean it up and paint it the deep blue Quincy color....does anyone know of a close match in either auto paint or engine enamel?

Also need some suggestions on wiring it up...my shop/garage has a 220 line but only 20 amp breakers so I suppose I should make a new circuit with 40 amp (?) breakers? Any thoughts on what gauge wire to use....the run will probably be about 50 ft. Last thing...what gauge wire should go to and from the pressure switch to the mag starter connections? Any help is greatly appreciated....let's keep these vintage Quincys chugging along. Thanks...Lance

Quincy sells their paint in a can. It's made by Raabe. They might have it in quarts ready to go. How were you planning on painting it? HVLP or rattle cans? You can get your paint color matched in quarts so that makes it easy too. Do you have a good and clean Quincy color sample?

Planning on spraying with hvlp after a good cleaning,,,,btw I found out that the cheapo oven cleaner sold at the dollar stores is incredibly good for removing grease, even softens up old paint and makes it easy to scrape or sand off the residue. Must do this out of doors as the fumes are killer! I don't have a decent quincy color sample but I might visit the local DuPont outlet and browse thru their color catalogs and I am sure I can get close. Thanks for the reply
