Not a great graphic. But it's the real deal. - metalmagpie
So, a little update, some good, some not so good, some really bad. Here is a picture of the final product all installed and running. It works off of the green and red buttons, as well as the pressure switch, so that's awesome! I think I did a pretty good job of making a neat install, I'm sure there's better but this will work.
Now the not so good. I pumped the tank up to about 40psi and listened for leaks. There is definitely a leak coming out of the intake, so I will need the Quincy experts to weigh in on that one.
Now the really bad. The tank has a leak. I opened the end of the tank up to look in, I didn't think it looked too bad, some putting and some rusty sludge at the bottom of the tank, but I figured that was par for the course on compressors. However once the tank was aired up there is a noticeable drip. It doesn't make noise, but it does drip. I checked and it is about 3/4 of an inch from a weld. I'm thinking I want to replace the tank, but maybe someone wants to weigh in on that. Maybe I can test the tank with pressurized water to see if it will hold.

If the tank has a hole, it's time to replace. There's no fixing that.
Maybe you misunderstood I don't want to fix the tank, and I will most likely replace, i just wanted to know if anyone had an opinion on if I needed to replace it immediately or of I could use it as is for a bit.
