quincy 325 compressor parts help

my quincy pump was torn apart today and looks like the cylinders need boring and oversize pistons and ring sets replaced.
325 quincy compressor (roc -12.... 1969 vintage ). need a high pressure piston and low pressure piston both +.020 and ring sets +.020 for both. any chance someone could suggest a source for these parts,and how expensive they might be? also, were quincy pistons originally made of cast iron? the low pressure piston in my pump is aluminum. any help is much appreciated. thanks

I can't say for certain, but a lot of 2 stage pumps use an aluminum first stage piston and a steel second stage piston to attempt to balance the reciprocating weight.

Do they make oversize pistons and rings? Another option would be have the cylinder sleeved and use the stock piston.

Champions use an aluminum first stage piston for sure. I would call Quincy and ask them for part numbers and then compare to OEM online. Google will turn up a bunch of results. On something I don't do too often and don't want to do again for a while, I usually choose dealer unless I'm sure of the aftermarket/OEM quality.

the aluminum piston balancing the other piston make sense . the quincy compressors are known to be quiet and smooth running . thanks for the responses so far.

found out quincy does not make a +.020 oversized piston. have to look into pressing a sleeve into the cylinder.
How badly damaged is the cylinder? Can it be honed out? Quincy should have a max tolerance for the difference between the piston diameter and the cylinder bore. Might be able to hone it and stay in tolerance.

Look closely at prices & compare to sleeving back to standard. Sometimes the manufacturers charge a hefty premium for off size parts. Was in the business for 50 some years and we always sleeved back to standard because of price.
Also, if your driver (motor) is marginal, if you go oversize on bore now you have a bigger pump requiring more horsepower to drive it.

Never did a sleeve job, so I spent an hour on Google. Seem real simple/relatively cheap to replace the liner, as long as you have a press or puller. If you do go for the sleeve, please keep us informed.
Are you sure the cylinders can not be honed, youtube has a Quincy compressor honing video.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Find out the max tolerance on the bore and hone it until you hit the upper limit on the tolerance, then see if it cleaned up. At least that's my plan on the kellogg I'm rebuilding.

Also, I would be surprised if there is a liner to press out. The cylinder is most likely machined in the cast iron.
