Quincy 325

Hey guys I've been a lingering for awhile and finally joined. I'm going this weekend to pick up a Quincy 325-12 80 gallon 5hp compressor this weekend for $450. It's going in my home shop to replace my current 60 gallon single stage Iron Horse compressor. I do body work and painting out of my shop here and there and the single stage compressor just wasn't cutting it. The 325 is from 1969 from what I can tell. The guy I'm getting it from said it came out of a body shop and was used as a backup compressor. It appears to be well takin care of he said he had it inspected by a compressor shop and it passed with flying colors. Someone also replaced the pipe goin from the compressor to the tank with coiled copper pipe and the guy is throwing in a gallon of compressor oil...I'll update the post this weekend after I get it home.

Given the age, I'd suggest putting a borescope into the tank to check for rust.

Maybe look for a used dryer too. Something like 35-50 cfm. Should have like "35" or the cfm rating in the model number.
