I recently bought a used Quincy air compressor. On the pump, it says 310 and then a bunch of empty spaces, then 102. The motor that is on it, is NOT the original motor. From what I have found out, it is the correct replacement. I have it wired at 230 n is a 2hp n 1725rpm. I am not sure if it has the correct size pulley though. Right now it takes close to ten minutes to fill to 125 psi. On electric motor, one of the bearings is going bad. A buddy of mine has a baldor motor that is a 2hp, but the rpm is 3450. I have done research on line n from what I have found, u need a degree to figure out proper pulleys sizes. What I know for a fact is, electric motor that i would like to put on it is 2hp n 3450rpm and the max that the compressor pump can run, is 920 rpm(what Quincy told me over the phone). I need help with what size pulleys to get. I don't care if I need to get a new pulley for motor and also the pump. I would like compressor to fill faster, but i dont want to burn up the pump. Any and all help would be so greatly appreciated!!!
