Quincy compressor pump 340

Hi all! I was wondering if anyone could tell me if a five horse motor is to small to properly run a Quincy 340 pump?

According to the site above 5hp will do the job. I would assume that you would have to get a pulley ratio that would give it a pump speed of near 400 rpm's. You could also reduce your cutout pressure to just below where the motor is running at FLA if you were running the pump faster.

Thanks for the info Larry! The 340 weighs 452 lbs. according to mesa's website...holy cow, that's to big for what I need!
