This is my first post here. I found this place looking for info. I just bought this old Quincy compressor pump at a yard sale. It spins freely and fells like it has good compression. It was only $20.00 I think it is a 212 legend model but I am not sure. I have a crappy oil less unit and thought that I could rig this one up and it would be better than the junky one I have? Any info and opinions and info would be great. Thanks "note" I just noticed it is a 216 looking at my own photos :D

Anyone here know how old it is? Also what would be a good motor to run this? It came with 3 brand new valves in there boxes but I don't think it needs them.

I just checked the Quincy website for manuals, and found the 216 'Legend' manual and was dated 1950 without a ROC (record of change) so I would assume that is when they first were produced. The next 216 manual was dated 1962 and the ROC is 36, so your ROC being 32...it's somewhere between the two. I'd guess mid to late 50's.

Thanks. When looking for info I have seen that "ROC" and did not know what it meant. I did however figure out that mine is a 216 P version (plain head assembly & no controls). Now I just need to figure out how to hook it up
