quincy leak

My quincy 310 is leaking oil from the shims behind the main bearing seal carrier. It barely leaks, more like a seep. I may have too much oil in it, it took 1 3/4 quart to show full on stick. I swear I saw somewhere it takes one quart but can't find it, so just filled on dip stick. Advice?

It's a QR-25...

They like to cover themselves in a light protective sheen of oil.

Thanks for that link, I signed up. And I hope this thing doesn't want to leak all over. It was really nasty when I got it.

So I found a document that says the oil capacity is 1 qt, 16oz. I think I just have it too full, so oil is sitting on the shims and leaking out. I guess if I drain it to the proper level it will stop leaking.
