DKMC, the tester is one that uses the gel, it does not take much gel to do a lot of testing. I did spot checks around the upper area, but my primary concern was the bottom of the tank, so I did a lot of tests in that area. According to what I have found, this tank is just under spec in one area, it measured 0.198 and it is supposed to have a minimum thickness of 0.199. Most areas were much thicker than that and I am not going to be using the tank at 200 PSI, I may even knock it back to 150, but right now I am at 175ish. I had a lot of experience using a different ultrasonic tester for measuring thickness on pipe legs of towers and wall thickness of water tanks. I ended up buying my particular one because it also could do the coating thickness, this is important on some structures.

Out of the seam in the diaphragm and some of the bolts. When I took the old ones out there were stiff and cracks a plenty. I think replacing them is a reasonable place to start.

There is also an o-ring seal on the piston. I am taking things apart either today or tomorrow so I can see what needs to be ordered.

I have that compressor, besides the diaphragm and seal you might need to replace the unloader plunger assembly, that goes out in mine every 5-6 years along with the seal. part 7532x according to the parts diagram

Good to know, I am going to pull it apart and see what things look like. I have to call the local distributor and see what they have. I found a few on ebay, they were not too bad a price, but they were for the entire unloader tower, thought maybe quincy would have a better price on the individual part.

You don't need the entire tower, just those few parts, I replaced in mine about 6 weeks ago for ~$35, local distributor stocked all the parts.

Good to know, I was not sure how expensive things would be. I will post pictures when I finally bust into it.
