Quincy QR-25 Series Operating Temperature

Can anyone tell me how hot their Quincy gets while running? I was hoping someone could take their infrared thermometer and get some readings off of a 325 or 340 model. I've got a Quincy Compressor QR-25 Series, model 340, ROC 31, that I'm going to tare-down, rebuild and paint. The reason I ask is that, I'm wondering what temperature the paint is going to have to withstand. I was originally thinking that it would require a ceramic engine paint, but if it's not too hot I'd like to powder coat it. Pretty sure that once everything is torn apart I can fit all the pump parts into my powder coating oven. For the tank, I might need to color match some enamel to the powder coat.

Not sure I would want to put individual loose pump parts in an oven for ~450F for baking. I would be concerned about parts warping.

Have you thought about using a high temp paint, such as VHT engine primer & enamel paint instead?

Yeah now that I've thought about it more, it seems that the best option is probably a ceramic engine enamel. I found this Seymour Hi-Tech Ford Blue Engine Coating at Tacoma Screw, looks to be about the right color, made to withstand engine operating temps.

I have a 15 yr old QT 7.5 and I think it was painted with lacquer by Quincy as the paint comes off very easily with lacquer thinner. If it's not lacquer it's cheap enamel with no hardener. So I think anything will be ok as they didnt use anything special

I have a 350 series and it doesn't get too hot, I would think you could paint it with about anything and it would hold up well. If you go with high temp engine enamel it will definitely be more than fine.
