Hi guys-
Hoping to get some advice again. I have read a lot of threads on here regarding Quincy compressors. It sounds like people are really happy with them. I am trying to decide between the QT and QR series. I am just curious what you guys recommend.
There are some good deals for the QT online. I am looking for a 5 HP single phase 2 stage with at least 15 cfm at 175. The QR looks nice but the price reflects that. I have looked on craigslist around the bay area, and I can't find any QR series compressors. I have a quote from a local dealer of ~$3300 not including tax. He is recommending an aftercooler which would run another $400.
I am really looking for a compressor that will keep up with a blast cabinet, and smaller air tools, DA sander, Die grinder, etc. I would like it to be quiet and slow, also I really want something that will last my lifetime. I would like to buy once. The compressor is going in a small 2 car garage. I am a serious hobbyist. I am just trying to weigh my needs versus the price, and I am looking for a little input.
I always get great advice on this forum... thanks in advance.
