Ok my Quincy QT54 dual stage compressor blew the motor. Sparks fly out the back when I trip the breaker. Do you get the Baldor motor rebuilt or just buy a new one? It is about 4 years old.

Take it to a motor shop and get some advice. Doesn't require an MRI.

Most small motors cost more to rebuild than buy new. In addition, a rebuilt will never be quite as good as new. Still, take it to a shop. It may not be blown.
Might be a capacitor?
Sparks and then trips the breaker? Or your saying it sparks when you close the breaker?
Sparks out the back makes me think messed up centrifugal switch.
What's it smell like?
If you're confident enough, take the motor apart and take some pics. Otherwise it couldn't hurt to take it to a motor shop, they might find something simple or cheap enough to fix. If it's windings though you might be better off just replacing the whole thing....we generally don't rewind motors 200HP or smaller.

It sparks when I trip the breaker. No smell just about 4in of sparks. I took the 4 nuts off and got the back to move about 1 inch but could not get the back off, just slide it back. I could not see anything that looked burnt but I really don't know what I am looking at.

It’s not 1970 anymore.
My experience is that a “motor shop” will charge you $30 to tear down the defective motor. Then, unless it’s something minor, like worn out brushes, they will deem it unrepairable, or economically unrepairable, and tell you to buy a new one.
Labor costs have risen over the years, and new goods are inexpensive relative to parts and labor.

When you say "trip" do you mean turn on/close the breaker?

You live in the UP and motor shops charge the inordinate fee of $30 for a diagnosis?? How much does a loaf of bread cost?? 50 cents??

Could be an issue with the centrifugal switch at one end of the motor. It's worth disassembling to check it out. There are videos on YT to show how to do it.
Motor shop is not worth the effort for this size motor - they will tell you to buy a new one.
