I've been through the compressor thread and the Quincy 60 gallon single stage seems to fit my needs (Quincy-Q13160VQ).
I doubt I'll ever blast and having something reliable and quiet is valuable to me. It will live in my 22x22 attached shop so noise is a primary consideration. It is my understanding both the tank and pump are domestically manufactured.
I'm coming from a 25gal Craftsman oilless buzz bomb that has barely met my needs for years (Mounting MC tires, MC lift, Impact use, occasional cutoff wheel).
It looks like the Quincy SS is a large piston low rpm design.
Air Compressors direct claims it to be the "#1 seller" amongst 3HP 60 gallon models.
Any reason why the air outlet appears to be in such a weird orientation?
Anybody have one here?
Thanks in advance.
