Looking to build up a new toolkit mainly for servicing the race car and any work required on it or our road cars looking at powerbuilt, teng tools, gearwrench or king tony people’s thoughts on the best off these?

don't laugh- you can do about anything with this set and a few misc pliers, screw drivers, hammer, ect thrown in. And it doesn't take up much room.

When I set up my trailer I bought pretty much everything from Harbor Freight. I had about fifty bucks in enough tools to handle any basic repair at the track, plus if they walked away I wasn’t out much cash.
The tools in the box were,
Combination wrenches metric and standard
Screwdriver set
Pliers, slip joint, needle nose, channel lock type, line mans and side cutters
A 3lb hammer, figure is it needed hitting might as well have a little weight
A Kobalt 1/4” drive socket set
The box was a Craftsman 4 drawer portable, I paid more for the box than all the stuff from HF.
The tools in the box were,

Dudes and dudettes, the OP is in Christchurch. Which is in New Zealand. Which is on the other side of the planet from most GJ members.
Out of the brands mentioned, Gearwrench is widespread in the USA and they are usually considered to be great tools for the money.
Teng tools are rare and expensive over here, but well-regarded.
No idea about the others, but overall it sounds like you couldn't go far wrong with Gearwrench. Great value for the money, wide line of tools, and in the US at least, you can get Gearwrench stuff in lots of places. Good when your 10mm goes missing, as they do.

I have combo wrenches, ratchets and breaker bars from King Tony. The ratchets are a bit heavier than my other ones, but all of my K.T. tools work fine.

no pic of racecar? will you need SAE or Metric? i have several things from gearwrench and powebuilt, both are priced well and have worked out well for the money

check out Tekton. decent tools, easy warranty, reasonable price. our work bought them fo us to use during travel. you can get them on Amazon, Meijers has a sale on them right now. For Warranty us email them a pic of the broken tool they send you a new one.

You're not kidding.
While I don't use it for race car maintenance, my Pelican 1560 (next size bigger) is packed with more or less all the same tools, name brand, except I also have way way more other tools as well (to suit my industry). I spent roughly half of that cost.
They don't call out about 95% of the brands of tools included, except things like sharpies, loctite, mechanix gloves, and (oddly) mitutoyo calipers. From that, I'd have to assume most tools are off brand or at least not nice enough to warrant listing the brand name.
The last thing I want to point out is they tout that the Pelican 1510 is the maximum airline carry-on size (it's their first bullet point). This is true, but good luck getting that case on a plane as carry-on with those tools in there.
I don't mean to call out this company, I'm just having fun. I'm sure they have their place.
Maybe I'm in the wrong business.
