Race Deck & 4 post lift?

What is everyone doing that has RD and 4 post? Are you putting the lift on top of the tile? If so, any issues with putting the lift on casters and moving the lift?

I would imagine the tiles are not able to withstand the weight and you leave the lift sitting on concrete and build\trim around each leg?

nice garage! and yes, RaceDeck will easily handle a your loaded 4 post lift resting right on top of it.

I do not have race deck, so I can't speak to that, although they just said it will be fine.

Me personally, I would cut it around the feet, but that would be incase you ever wanted to remove a tile (change design, damaged one, drop some irreplaceable tiny screw under it and need to get it, etc.)

It is easy to remove a tile from a Racedeck floor. You don't need to leave a tile out anywhere for that. Putty knife takes a tile out in seconds.

I have motorfloor, not racedeck, but it's relatively easy to roll a 4-post lift around on casters.

Hi, is there a spec for PSI limit on Motofloor / Racedeck before something will indent the floor tile or not? I have heard the jackstands will leave an imprint, but maybe the flat bottom jackstands won't. Also floor jack the caster may indent the floor when supporting half the car's weight initially??

PSI ratings really are hard to apply to real world garage flooring use as most everything is either on wheels or legs that spread out weight. you can easily park an 80,000 + lb motorhome, firetruck or 18 wheeler on RaceDeck ( and they do). What does damage suspended modular garage flooring, VCT, and even concrete is very thin ( and sometime rough edged) angle iron jack stands <^> that may not even total a 1/16th of an inch of surface area.

Hi..

I will be using both of these products and I would like to know if I should use something (what?) to protect the motorfloor?
The heaviest being 4800 lbs. But mostly 3500-4000 lbs cars will be worked on.
The second one looks like it rests on 8 tiny pucks per side, so I think it is likely to dent the floor.

What is the best type of RD that is not slippery when wet?

Can I put the 4 post on the Free Flow floor also?

The traction on DiamondTread and FreeFlow are very good. And yes, you can put your 4-post lift right on top of FreeFlow ( as in picture above , green floor )
