In June 2010, after much research on this forum, I installed RaceDeck in the garage attached to my house. This garage is about 20 by 21 feet, with a storage "L" off one end that is about 6 by 14. Due to size and the fact that I have a separate detached shop, this space is only used for my daily drivers. I have a gravel drive, and when I first installed this, I was trying to mop regularly to keep the floor looking nice. Eventually, I backed off to regular vacuuming with mopping a couple of times a year. After a few years, I contacted the company about how to restore the luster. They advised Snap Lock Restore Finish, which I acquired from them. Two days ago, as a result of a tiling project in the adjacent laundry room, I mopped the floor and applied the Restore Finish for the second time in 7 years. I have a couple of tiles that have some kind of stain I have not been able to clean off, but overall, I think the floor still looks good.

At just over 3 years since installation my Race Deck shows little or no signs of wear or tear. The Free Flow type of tile is perfect for my 25'x 20' garage. My wife's DD parks there as well as my classic Mustang that gets about 500 miles a year. There is a man cave aspect in there as well. Tons of compliments on the garage in general but the floor in particular. Dave R.

The only spots mine is showing wear is completely my fault. Had a complete rebuild on my "racecar" and through the way have done some hammering, pry-barring, drilling, screwdriving smashing, spraypainting, undercoating, etc...all over the floor.

So I've replaced maybe three tiles that I gouged the snot out of. I recently pulled a 10'x15' section out (the alloy color) which was stained from the undercoating application and significant grease/grime. Took 3M Industrial Degreaser and a very stiff brush, and got it all off. Meguiars Super Degreaser on the rest and then power washed off. Looks pretty darn good if I say so.

Actually about to buy Graphite to replace my Alloy center section, and then put the Royal Purple border in for some pop!

Sounds like you have a working garage, not a parking area. If you have used a floor jack on the RaceDeck, how does it hold up to the jack wheels?

I have had my racedeck down for about 6 years and could not be happier with it. I try to keep my shop looking as nice as I can but it does get used. I do put down cardboard when I weld and I mop it with soapy water ever so often. About once a year I mop with Snaplock restore which makes it look brand new again.
Thanks Jorgen for offering a great product!

Floor jacks, jack stands, salt from roads up north, dropping an irreplaceable screw into a tile & not being able to find it, damage while Migging, odours from some godawful liquid (beer etc) fermenting underneath the tiles.

Unless I'm missing something, I ain't sold.

In the 3 years I've had my Free Flow I have used my floor jack, jack stands-as long as the bottom edge is rounded, we use salt here on Ohio's roads. No problems or regrets. If something dropped can't be retrieved with needle nose pliers or a magnet then tiles are easily lifted out with a putty knife. I don't weld but the tiles are a type of plastic after all. If you are dumping perfectly good beer on the floor then I'm not sure what to suggest. A quick hosing or 5 gallon bucket of water should take care of that. CJDave.

Agree with what the user above says.

A jack will push the tile down a bit, and might cause a slight depression on the face of the tile. I haven't seen any issues with it.

My jackstands are sharp on the bottom, so I use a 3/4" piece of ply underneath them to spread the load and to prevent marking the surface. I'm getting QuickJack soon, and it works flawlessly on RaceDeck.

I'm really happy with mine. They are very solid when connected as a single unit (SwissTrax comes apart easier, which is a pro/con depending on the use).
