Race Deck and Static Electricity

Will be moving into my new mountain place in a few months and am planning on putting Racedeck tiles in the garage . Since I will be doing some reloading there , late last night it occurred to me that there might be an issue with "plastic" tiles and static electricity ( not good if working with primers and powder ) . Several powder/primer manufacturers recommend touching a ground after doing certain operations .... which may or may not be CYA .
Just curious if I`m seeing beasts behind a tree that don`t exist ???
I`ve seen this in some other areas where plastic/PVC is used .... this also means no metal workbench top .

Why no metal workbench top ? I have a wood benchtop but never heard of that.

I have been reloading on Racedeck for over a decade now, no issues so far. I realize that does not mean I wont "boom" tonight but I had never even thought of it. I have never seen/had static electricity from Racedeck when doing welding, car, wood or reloading work.

I reload only twice a month popping out 400-500 rounds each time, averaging 800-1,000 rounds a month (I have a progressive so 500 rounds is about 45 minutes taking my time).

I haven't noticed static with my floor but that doesn't mean anything. I do know you can wash the floor with fabric softener and that will help reduce static.

I have had moments where I've built static after installing Racedeck that I had not noticed before. I only noticed it this winter... I haven't really had any static issues for the past couple months once it warmed up... not sure if its related. Or if using a layer of landscape felt under my RD had any bearing on it. FWIW even still I've never had issues with static when working on my workbench but maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a grounding wristband at your bench while you work.

I get nailed on ours once in a while.. worse in the winter though, because of the dryer air

You will definitely have some static, but not at a level of it being an issue i would think. I experienced that last night while using my shop vac to clean up saw dust, I had a lot of cling onto the plastic suction part of the vac that was rubbing against the floor during clean-up.
