Well, 12 weeks after my total knee replacement surgery, I was finally able to get my Race Deck floor installed. When we were in our 30's, my wife and I probably would have knocked this out in a day, but after laying half of it, our backs, thighs, and everything else was so sore, we waited two days and then finished it off. We are very pleased with the outcome. It's just what I had in my minds eye for my hot rod shop/garage that I have always wanted. You will notice in one of the pics in the back right hand side, a white tile missing. Well, when cutting around the cabinets, I cut a white tile when I should have cut a black one. A quick call to Ashley at Race Deck, and she has a white tile on its way to me free of charge. Thank You Ashley and Race Deck, what a cool product!

-Garry

Looks great! I just made a mess of my garage floor in 3-4 spots so I will be happy to have tiles go down and cover my mess soon. Great job. Looks so much better!

And Thank You, my dear for being so helpful and providing outstanding customer service!
When I did my Racedeck floor I found their customer service to be first rate as well. Not only are they helpful when you want to buy tiles from them, after the sale they send you extra tiles for free when you screw up and cut some of them wrong. It is hard to beat that kind of customer service.

Stunning!

That must be what you see at the finish line when it's a dead heat!

how many square feet is that and if you don't mind what did that set you back?

Asking because I have 750 square feet to put down.

This part of the garage is 475 sq ft. I purchased the material on their black Friday sale, which is the best pricing of the year and Garage Journal members get free shipping and even a better price. I can't remember what the sq ft $ was, but it was a very good sale!

Cheers!

Stand by fellas, I will post a pic including the Corvette very soon. I want to get a few things hung on the walls and the lift installed, then I'll take a pic of the whole complete project!

Cheers!

That is awesome! Tell us more about your car. Year? Stock? Rebuilt? How long have you owned it?

It's a 1966 frame-off restored 427 L72 Corvette. Not the original engine, or I couldn't afford it. Since it's not the original engine, we put a Tremec 5 speed transmission in it. It's much more drivable on the highway now! Do a search on "1966 Corvette 427 L72" there is a lot of information on them, as they are a very desirable C2 Corvette.

Cheers,

-Garry

I agree with the others. The garage looks great. It is amazing how just the floor can really give the garage a clean and polished look.

Well done and congrats!

That is awesome. I love C1 and C2's. You must take a lot of pride in it and now it has a garage to match!

Looks Great!!!

Total knee replacement back in December, so very little exercise since then other then stretching, etc. Still not getting down on the knees quite yet, hence the sore back and thighs!

I saw some guy used a rolling stool to install them. I just did 2/3 of my garage. I'm using knee pads. I'm also looking at it as todays workout. :)

After 20 years I'm moving to a new house at the end of the month. I've always wanted my garage; and especially the floor, to look a certain way. I just found the way - just like yours!
