Race Deck coin vs. diamond?

Both patterns are exactly the same tread height. Though with the greater surface area of the CircleTrac pattern, it will not be as noticeable when you do roll over with tool trays or other items that have loose items on them

I used the coin pattern in mine & find it easy to clean/sweep out.
I've rolled my toolchest/rollcab & floor jack around on it with no issues.

I went with the circle pattern...mostly because it is different that what most go with, but hey. I'm a rebel!
No problems moving stuff on it...The only issue I have had is getting my Rhino ramps to 'bite' like they did on bare concrete....I think that issue will exist regardless of pattern.

Although not Race Deck, we put industrial rubber/vinyl flooring in our stairwells and high traffic areas at work. We had the options of either coins or diamond patterns. After consulting various users and flooring companies for experience, we were led to believe that the coins were easier to keep clean via broom compared to the diamonds. That said, we went with the coins and custodial staff seems to be able to keep it clean (no complaints).

I went with the diamond pattern on my Racedeck (near 10 years ago, not sure they had circle then) and it is NO problem to roll things on it, sometimes its a little hard to start but it rolls just fine once moving. I do like that it stays put when you stop.
If I were to do it again, I would go with circles just because the diamond is a ***** to keep clean. So far the posters here have talked about sweeping stuff off the floor and for that diamond or circle will work fine, try changing out a gearbox on a old car and cleaning off that oil and grease that you walked in for the few days (week) that you worked on the car, that grease sticks to the diamond pattern and you end up having to remove it lacquer thinner by scrubbing in multiple directions. My floor gets very dirty/greasy/oily on a regular basis and the grease sticks to the far side of the diamond plate, if you scrub to the left, it sticks on the back side and you end up having to scrub the other way, then forwards and backwards to get the other diamonds (I am not making sense I know, hard to explain but basically you have to scrub in all 4 directions to clean all the diamond plates). I just have resigned myself that I have to clean the floor once or twice a year and I still love the floor, best thing I did to my garage.

Now you guys did it... Because of this htread, I had to call and request a sample of the circle top tile. I was ready to pull the trigger, but Nooooo! Now I have to wait to actually see how it cleans up. I do agree with general sweeping and dusting that there are no flat spots on the diamond tiles for a dustpan to get flush. Problem should be solved with the coins.

Well, I just received an email from Janene at Racedeck that I will be getting a sample and an information kit. I definitely want the coin design. A little pricey but we"ll see once I get the info package.

Welcome to GJ, Hemin8r. Be sure to ask for the GJ Discount. For me, RD was defintely cheaper than having mine done professionally.
I just placed my order this week and went with the coin. Kia sent me a sample of the coin and we experimented on sweeping up dirt and sawdust from the diamond tread and coins and the coins was easier. My order will arrive the middle of next week, so this 3-day weekend will be massive clean-up, organization and possibly painting.
