Who was the member here that works for race deck flooring? I would like to contact him for a price on my floor. I searched and came up with no hits?

I am in the process of finishing up installation of a Racedeck floor in my shop. It's boring (all white) but seems to be working out well so far. I just wanted to recount my unusual and excellent customer service experience with them. I had ordered a small number of incorrect edging pieces (female vs male). It's not exactly obvious from their website that you need to attend to that detail when ordering. However, it took only one phone call and a couple minutes to have the correct parts sent out, and they did it no charge, even though it was my mistake. Kudos to them and I'm now a loyal customer.

Pictures or it didnt happen :lol_hitti

I am fairly certain I will end up with Race Deck flooring in my shop. I am planning on the Alloy colored XL with maybe a darker border.

I have many questions, one being. Since my floor is 26"8 x 26"8 will I be able to get the border fairly close to the walls?

Typically you want to leave at least 1/4" to 1/2" border along all walls of permanent fixtures. there are many other tips we can help you with on your particular installation if we see photos

OK, I figured it would require a small gap. No problem. Its gonna be summer before I can do anything else big. This shop has been too much stress already.

I am looking RACEDECK to replace a carpet section of the floor at the Mack Trucks Historical Museum. This would be installed over a 22'-6" x 44'-6" steel road simulator mounting bed that is nearly flush with the surrounding concrete. I have several concerns. Of course we display large trucks, I am confident that the weight capacity will be adequate but what about the twist from turning a tandem suspension on the RACEDECK without it being fastened down? I could extend the flooring onto the surrounding concrete and secure it with fasteners to reduce movement, would this be acceptable?

That is a sizeable area and you should have no issue rolling in and turning to park a large rig. We have many customers with large RV rigs ( prevost, et), fire trucks, and even forklifts.. Is the concrete smooth/polished or standard finish?
what style floor are you looking at

The concrete is resin coated, the steel plate is unpainted. I am looking at the diamond pattern in alloy.
