On the question of using racedeck tiles in a trailer it can be done I've had customers do it. However it's true that it will move around since it's a free floating floor so the trick is you have to bolt it down in the corners. Also you have to elongate the holes to allow expansion and not tighten the bolts down tight.

So in other words the floor can still move but only about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch.

I am going to buy Race Deck for my garage. Has anyone put the flooring down right up to the walls? Then put trim right on top. Do you have to pull up the flooring every once in awhile to clean underneath? I am only installing the solid tiles.

If you mean tight to the walls it's not recommended as these tiles with temp changes will expand and contract and if tight against the wall might buckle.

Leave 1/4 to 1/2" gap. Then you can add a baseboard like trim to cover the gap.

You do not have to pull up the floor to clean. The tiles fit very tight however fine dust can still work its way between the tiles but that's about it. Maybe if you have a liquid spill that for some reason might smell you might want to lift a few tiles to clean underneath.

How do the various tiles shake out as far as price? I'm assuming some are more expensive than others and some may be the same price.

How much does the Tuffshield add? And what exactly is Tuffshield?

TuffShield Diamond tiles are like the standard Diamond Tiles but have a high-wear chemical resistant top coating. It gives the tile a shiny "gloss" look.

These can add around $1 per tile.

Thanx, that site gave me what I was looking for!

Whoever manages that site may want to change the button colors on the Left, Black on Charcoal is darn near impossible to read.

Weird, I see white lettering on charcoal button?? Lettering turns red when you hover over it.

Ahhh, I knew I should have checked another browser. It is almost unusable in Chrome. I had to mouse over to use the site.

Chrome has issues...

You're right just tried chrome, black letters instead of white. However when you switch pages they turn white for a couple of seconds then black.....

This may have been posted earlier and I just missed it, but how to Racedeck hold up to welding and cutting? Will it melt or anything? My concrete under my welding table is black and pitted real bad. How does RD stand up to it?

And what about pulling a motorcycle jack all over it every weekend? Does it scuff? Is it easy to clean, with just a mop?

I like the look of it. Just want to check on it's longevity with weekend use.

motorcycle jack, no problem. Engine stand, no problem. Scuff's yes some but not bad.

Easy to clean depends on how long you let the grease/oil grind into the tiles, usually very easy to clean unless you wait too long.

Welding...not a good idea, the tiles are the same color throughout so its not obvious unless you melt all the way through.
