Hey guys, I recently completed my Race Deck Installation in my garage and wanted to share some photos and say thanks again to Jorgen and Jen at Race Deck/SnapLock Industries for all of their help! They are awesome to deal with and their product is excellent! I highly recommend these tiles and will definitely be doing more business with them in the future!

Thanks a lot guys! The colors I used were Graphite with an Alloy border. I'm so happy I chose Race Deck, they really are a great product!

Nice work! I'd love to do that in my detached...but at 32x26 I'm not sure I can swing it.

I live in the rainy Northwest. Unfortunately, my builder did not put a vapor barrier under the concrete floor of my detached garage. I do NOT have any dampness on the floor at any time, however if I duct tape a piece of visqueen down, there will eventually be some moisture under it after a couple of days. My main concern with using a product like Race Deck is that I may have to deal with a mildew issue on the back side of the tiles eventually. I may be wrong, and would like others' input. Perhaps they make a tile that "breathes" and would therefore solve my perceived problem. Input?
Thank you!

You should not have an issue, the underside of their tiles have channels that would allow the dampness to evaporate in the air present. There should photos on thier website that shows the floor side of the tiles. I'm sure Jorgen will speak up on this when he sees it.

Hi
What you describe is one of the reasons we engineered RaceDeck as a suspended floor with channeling throughout - Air and moisture can flow freely. The moisture you are seeing is most likely a failure of the moisture barrier during installation.

Thank you for your reply, however there was no failure of the vapor barrier, only failure of the contractor to install one! Rrrrrrrrrrrr!
I am interested in a couple other areas of concern as well.

1.) Is your product weight limited? My truck & camper weigh 11,000 lbs.
2.) Unfortunately I am picky about its looks long term. Realistically how long can a person expect it to look as new as installed?

It will easily take that weight and lots more, Jorgen has said Firetrucks park on Racedeck and in my own garage, my lift and cars have been on top of it for 10 years, granted that is not 11,000lbs. but its 10 years.

I don't know how long you can expect them to look good, come on over and clean up the grease/crud from my last engine rebuild and you will see they still look good after 10 years :) Seriously, when I clean my tiles they looked like the day I laid them down, even the ones with melted areas from welding are hard to find since the color goes all the way through.
