A friend of mine just bought a house that has race deck installed. We pulled out his cummins with a 2ton engine hoist. The engine hoist was loaded for 30 min or so. We then rolled the hoist to the door to put the engine in my truck. The hoist was in transit for a few minutes. Everywhere the hoist sat or rolled over was damaged/dented or stressed. It looks bad how do you guys get around this. Do you avoid jacking up cars or using engine hoist? I was very surprised this much damage occurred. It seems the stressed tiles wont pop back. He now tells me they even slightly discolored due to the stress. I didnt see this but he claims it did. I wanted to get home if you know what i mean.

Are you sure its real race deck? This sounds like what could happen to a cheaper knock off of race deck. I have jacked on mine before with no problems.

Them Cummins got some heft! And you had the ****** still bolted on? By the time you translate that into the pounds per square inch of the casters of the lift you probably well exceeded rated capacity on the race deck. Their customer support is pretty good, though, they might send you some replacement pieces for free if you call them up and tell them what happened.

yeah it was a motor and trans. I bet it weights right at 2k. He was pretty peed off just trying to roll over the tiles. He says i can have them if i help him pull them up. I may put them in the basement.
