Yes I agree, race deck stands behind their product like no one else in the business. I have seen it on this forum over and over again.

Now the point is, that most think they are set for a durable maintenance free floor with Race Deck. This shows that it is not the case. When I was choosing my floor, I saw racedeck floor, but the owner did not know of this forum, or the fact that RD would warranty the floor to the extent that we see on the forum. That person's floor looked like the above. He was disappointed that his super heavy duty floor was not really that heavy duty.

That being said, I still stand behind the fact that Porcelain tile is way more durable, to the point that two years later, nothing has changed with it in my garage. Which gets more abuse, without ever even considering protecting, or putting anything on it while working in there.

Yes RD can be installed DIY and will take less time, but it also costs a pretty penny. But lets say price is not and issue, since you can pay just as much if not more for any other floor. How excited would you be, when your set up garage, with your tools and cabinets, had to all come out so that you could clean the **** out of the seems and under the floor after every winter? Now we are not just talking about price, but time, and a huge headache because your expectations went down the drain.

You just need to hope that there is a cleaner out there that can address the above issues.

And I don't understand how a cleaner can bring back a faded floor. As far as I understand it, if your floor is faded, it is because of all the micro scratches in it. How can a cleaner fix that? Yea it might clean out your scratches, but how long will that last?

This is from the RD website " Maintainer repairs scuffing and scratching while leaving a micro layer that dries to a gloss appearance" My thought is that it fills in the scratches kind of like waxing your car. I am interested to see the before and after results from someone who used this :)

I am convinced that a company that stands behind thier product is a company worth doing business with. I have read many posts here on GJ where you go above and beyond to make the customer happy with any complaint or issue, even if the customer was at fault. I will be placing my order for Racedeck flooring in the next few weeks when I finalize my plans. For these same reasons, I will be purchasing my 4 post lift from Bendpak.

My interest in this thread is to see if your cleaning products are necessary or if regular cleaning with something like carwash soap and a mop will be sufficient. I was interested to see the results of the maintainer product on an older floor that was not kept clean to see if it is worth purchasing as well. All of the garages on the RD website look amazing, but they are all new installations. Not too many pictures floating around of what the floor looks like in 5 years. That is why I subscribed to this thread, wanted to see the before and after pics from the use of the maintainer product / cleaner.

Floors get dirty, especially garage floors. Tires drive on roads and roads are dirty, then they drive into the garage... simple as that. I am not expecting the floor to look clean unless I clean it. My question is simply if your cleaning product is necessary, and if not for regular cleaning will it bring an older faded looking floor back to life.

Hi
To answer your question on whether 'our' commercial cleaners are necessary? they are Not. But they do work great and the only reason we have them is for commercial garages. We recommend using any non-sudsing amonia based cleaner, rather then cleaners like Simple Green...The reason being Simple Green leaves a film that attracts dust and dirt. Our floors do not require any more cleaning than any other type of painted floors, VCT, concrete, or modular flooring

Curious if you had a chance to use the cleaner / maintainer? How did the floor come out?
