Race Deck with Threshold

About to install Race Deck tiles I purchased 3 years ago.
For those who have installed Race Deck did you also install a garage door threshold such as a Tsunami Seal?
I've always had a problem with the soft rubber seal attached to the bottom of my garage doors sticking to the concrete floor when I open the doors. This happens regardless of weather or temperature. Part of the problem may be that I don't open the overhead doors very often.
Looking for some suggestions on whether I should utilize a Tsumani Seal with the Race Deck tile or just install the Race Deck tiles so that they run under the door when the door would be closed. This would bring the rubber seal on the bottom of the door in direct contact with the Race Deck tile which may just resolve my problem.
Any suggestions for those that have installed Race Deck?

Just remember that one of the main objectives of the Tsunami Seal is to keep water on the outside from migrating inside. Using the RaceDeck ramp edge will not prevent that from happening as the ramp edge is not sealed to the concrete.

Good point. So if I'm not having an issue with water coming in under the door I'm thinking the Tsunami Seal is not needed as the Race Deck ramp edge should solve my problem of the garage door rubber seal sticking to the concrete.

I didn't realize I could install the ramp edge so it sits directly under the door. Sounds like the perfect solution.

Hi,

We have plenty of customers that install the RD beveled edge so that it lies directly under the door without any problems. Others may choose to install the edging just inside where the door meets the concrete. Feel free to contact RaceDeck specialist Jennifer Storms at [email protected] with any questions.

Thanks for choosing RaceDeck!
