Has anybody done a whole garage in racedeck freeflow? And what has been your opinion on the free flow tile? And if you go with standard racedeck tile (circle track, diamond tread) does the water rapidly drain through the tile or is it fairly liquid tight? I have a oppurtunity to buy the free flow pretty cheap:beer: .

Forget it:( Just found the specs and freeflow tile lb. rating is about half of what the regular tiles are. I'm going to go nuts before I get this gagrage floor finished. Was going to do epoxy but I just don't think I'm going to take the chance of it failing

I have scrubbed acid bleach everything except throw a nuclear bomb at these oil spots and just don't feel comfortable epoxy sticking to it.

so i've got a question though, how do these types of tiles hold up to grinding sparks or welding sparks & slag and heavy sharp metal dropped on or slid around on?

kind of, nope, nope, not really and not really.

I have burned and melted mine when welding but not harmed them when grinding. I have gouged them when sliding things around.

overall, I am very pleased, they have held up fine. I have learned to be careful when welding and lay out a welding blanket over the tiles but I also made a spot in the garage where there are no tiles where I try to do all my welding now.

Since the tile is the same color all the way through a gouge does not show up very much from a few feet away, I of course can show you every gouge and weld splatter mark :)

My 4-post lift's metal casters have cut the tops slightly in some places also but I don't plan on moving it again either.

Its not really a "workshop" tile, its more of a "showroom" tile but I would buy them again for my "workshop" I like them that much. I had assumed prior to purchasing them that I would have some troubles and I was right but they look good most of the time.
