Im looking to get car dollies to move my car around without starting it. I am also looking to get racedeck flooring in my garage later this year.

Would dollies w/ 3" casters damage the floor? I was going to get some boards made for my jackstands and floor jack but I obviously cant do something similar with a vehicle dolly.

Also, a more general question - are car dollies safe on a sloped garage floor?

I too am wondering the same thing? I hope RaceDeck will chime in here. Also, I have seen car dollies with caster wheels but i have also seen them with real wide maybe 8" wide wheels, I think the wider wheels would disperse the weight of the vehicle better on the floor. I was also wondering which race deck style tile would be best for rolling a vehicle on? I guess I am lucky, my car weighs less than 2,000lbs right now.

Hi -
Sorry for the delayed response, we have been at SEMA all week and it was a whopper of a show.

I personally use GoJack car dollies and they work great on RaceDeck. Some of our cars are pretty heavy too, including a Ford Raptor and have no issues
